On the writing front

Here's what I've been up to in October and my plans for November...

Because of some health issues I didn't write as much as I wanted in October. I hoped to have a good start for Quickening, part 2 of the Quicksilver Codex, but I'm still in the first chapter for that. The plan for November is to write about half of it and finish in December.

I did finish Beyond The Edge. Woohoo! It ended up being a few thousand words longer than I expected... which is good! What can I say, Virginia is insatiable... and so is Anando. And Brett. And Leo. And Lisa..! I've left it alone for the past few days and I'll start revising soon, hopefully to send it to my editor as soon as she gets my Christmas release Under His Skin back to me for the last edits.

In October I also started a sequel for His Sire's New Pet, which I will probably title His Sire's New Game. It picks up the morning after, and I'm pretty happy with what I have so far. My goal is to finish it this month for a release in early 2013.

I'm of course still working on my monthly freebie, One Last Lullaby. This past month I figured out one big event that will soon happen for Jacob and Kirsten, and I can't wait to take them there!

And something else I don't talk much about... I've been working on a YA story that takes the Demons & Lullabies initial idea - a child raised by two vampires - but with a few different things, as well as the whole thing being told through the hero's own words and his fathers more as secondary characters. I'm hoping to finish this one by the end of the year. Maybe by then I'll have decided if I want a different pseudonym for my YA stories!

  1. Very excited about the new books. :) The YA one sounds cool, but I would get a new pseudonym for them, Kallysten is synonomous with dirty sex fun and I don't think you can do that in a YA book ;)

    1. LOL
Yes, that was pretty much why I was thinking about a new pseudonym. Trouble is, I can't think of one!

  2. Then why dont you have a contest to make one?

    1. Ooooooh you might be on to something there...

I always love to hear what you think!
