I have the pleasure of hosting this hop with book blog Riverina Romantics. In addition to individual prizes provided on each blog, we are offering assorted swag to the first 100 participants who simply tell us they want some! See all details and sign up here, or keep reading to see what I'm giving away! The list to hop to the other blogs is at the bottom of this post.

Most of my books have a supernatural aspect, but I have to admit playing with magic is one of my favorite things. With magic, everything becomes possible. It's only when Megan and I started talking about our hop theme that I realized how many of my stories contain this element, like an extra spice that gives a little je ne sais quoi to the story.

In my very first novel, Checkmate, it's a botched magic spell that causes a vampire and a Special Enforcer (vampire hunter) to become Mates. The rest of the Special Enforcers series also contains magic to a lesser degree.

My newest series, the QuickSilver Codex, is centered on a parallel world that uses a magic called the Quickening, and that will be the title of book 2, coming this June, in which the heroine learns to master this strange force.

In Her Last Words, magic sends Master vampire Gabrielle back in time so that she can fix her biggest mistake, save countless lives, and fix her relationship with her favorite Childe, Erik.

In the Lullabies series, magic allows a vampire to become what his very nature forbids: the father to a human child.

In the Blurred Trilogy, the mage Simon is 'only' a secondary character, but he is pivotal in the fight against the demons as well as Blake's healing process.

In The Thirteenth Halloween, magic reunites lovers beyond the grave.

And then there are my 'magic holidays' stories. In I'll Be Home For Christmas, magic bursts out of the heroine to mark her and her lover with tangible symbols of their love. In the freebie The Missing Star, the heroine tries to summon the man she loves and lost back to her. In Christmas Magic, a special spell is the excuse for two friends to grow closer. And in Under His Skin, two lovers exchange bodies for a few hours, and learn more about each other than they had bargained for.

And now for my giveaway! It is open internationally. 3 winners will be chosen randomly by the Rafflecopter widget. The first winner will receive the beaded book thong pictured below featuring the cover from The Missing Star, as well as a signed copy of the paperback Dreams of Ink which contains a few of my freebies, including The Missing Star and Forgotten Lullabies to name only those which contain magic. Two additional winners will received a signed copy of Dreams of Ink.

  19. Her Last Words... I love vampires ;)
This is an awesome blog hop! I'm a big fan of supernatural books especially romantic ones. I love magic and I love that you never know what people's abilities are going to be. It leaves so much more open to guessing because the world that the author builds all of a sudden does NOT follow our world's rules. I love when people can listen to thoughts or move things with their minds. I also think being able to control other's emotions would be a handy gift. Probably my favorite books involving people with magic are 'Beautiful Creatures' and 'Poison Study.' It must be hard to be responsible for such power. I love when Lena from 'Beautiful Creatures' is trying to harness all she has. It's something akin to the awkwardness we all go through in middle school in which we are trying to figure out who we are.
Thanks for the giveaway and I'm gonna keep on hopping!
