I'm a bit late in my writing update, but here's what I've been up to in the past month.
On the editing front, I finished tweaking the 'vampire and robot' short story, which is now titled A.S.H.E.R. and I expect it will be released very soon on the M/M Romance group on Goodreads. I will post the download link when it is available so keep an eye out for it.
I also advanced a lot on the edits for Quickening, although I'll keep rereading and changing a word here or there until the release later this month.
The writing front unfortunately has not been as productive as I hoped. If you read my post about how Beyond The Edge came to be, you know that the hubby and I have been trying to add to our family for a while. This month was another one that was full of high hopes that were eventually crushed. I can't say it makes it easy to stay focused on my writing.
Other than One Last Lullaby, the only thing I made progress on was Awkward Holidays, although I didn't manage to finish it as I planned. I am very close however, and I hope to wrap up the first draft within the next day or two. It'll all depend on my editor's schedule, but I expect to be able to release it in July as planned.
Once I finish this, I'll switch all gears to part 3 of the QuickSilver Codex. I'm aiming high, and hoping to have half of it done by the end of the month.
I'm unsure about the Halloween story I mentioned in my last writing update. I might turn it into my contribution for the Shades of Pink anthology I'm working on with a lot of other authors for October, although I did want to have a M/F story for the anthology. Whatever I end up doing, I should start soon.
A few other things have been set on the back burner for a while, and I'm trying to get back to them. Among them, a translation of Out of the Box in French. Laurence did the first part and will work on the rest soon. I need to give it a last look, decide on a title, and start putting it into the world. I also want to write more YA stories for my Angela Yseult alter-ego. I have one story with an editor, which I hope to release in the fall,, and another story has been waiting for its turn for a while. I'll try to start jotting notes down this month.
I might be too ambitious, but that's par for the course for me. We'll see if June is any better for my muse...
